KICKOFF PARTY, WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP FORUM KICK OFF HONDA CLASSIC EVENTS
Two events open to the public kick off festivities for the 2023 Honda Classic before the golf takes center stage February 20-26.
The Classic in the Palm Beaches Kickoff Party will be held outdoors at PGA National Resort on Thursday February 16 from 6-9 p.m.
The opening celebration will include cocktails, hors d’ oeuvres, and live music. Tickets are $50 with event proceeds benefitting Honda Classic Cares charitable initiatives.

The Classic in the Palm Beaches’s Women’s Leadership Forum, part of The Classic in the Palm Beaches’s continuing Women’s Initiative for 11 years, will return Tuesday February 21 with more than 300 professional women networking toward career and personal development. This year’s keynote speaker is Bonnie St. John, whose inspirational story captivates people across the country.
NBC Nightly News called St. John, “One of the five most inspiring women in America.` Despite having her right leg amputated at age five, St. John became the first African-American ever to win medals in Winter Olympic competition, taking home a silver and two bronze medals in downhill events at the 1984 Paralympics in Innsbruck, Austria.
In recognition of this historic achievement, St. John was quoted on millions of Starbucks coffee cups and was honored at the White House by President George W. Bush. St. John has achieved the highest levels of success in a variety of endeavors throughout her life. In addition to her success as a Paralympic athlete, she is a best-selling author, a highly sought after keynote speaker, a television and radio personality, a business owner and a Fortune 500 leadership consultant.
